Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mount Longonot. Head east on the main road towards Naivasha. After approximately 3 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Mount Longonot National Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance, where you will need to pay an entrance fee (approximately KES 1,000 for adults). Once inside the park, continue driving on the main park road until you reach the parking area near the trailhead leading to Kinungi Waterfalls. The waterfalls are about a 30-minute hike from the parking area.

    For those using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Naivasha town heading towards Mount Longonot. The fare is about KES 50. Request to be dropped off at the entrance of Mount Longonot National Park. From there, you will need to pay an entrance fee (approximately KES 1,000 for adults). Once inside, you can either hire a local guide or walk to the Kinungi Waterfalls trailhead, which is about a 30-minute hike from the main road.
