From any location in Naivasha, head to the nearest matatu stage (public transport pick-up point). Look for a matatu heading towards 'Mai Mahiu' or 'Nairobi'. The fare is typically around 100-150 KES. Request the driver to drop you at the Longonot junction, which is about a 30-minute ride. Once you get off at the junction, walk approximately 3 kilometers towards the entrance of Mount Longonot National Park, following the signs along the road. You may also find motorcycles (boda-bodas) willing to take you from the junction to the park entrance.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a boda-boda directly from Naivasha to Mount Longonot National Park. Simply inform the rider of your destination, and they will navigate you through the area. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around 300-500 KES, depending on your negotiation skills and the driver.

For adventurous travelers, if you're in central Naivasha and enjoy walking, you can trek to Mount Longonot. Head towards the Old Naivasha road, and follow the signs to Mount Longonot. It is roughly a 12-kilometer walk and will take about 2-3 hours. Ensure you have ample water and sun protection as the route can be exposed.
