Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, which is Embu. Take the Embu-Kibugu Road (also known as Embu Road). Follow this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach Kibugu. Once in Kibugu, look for signs directing you to Camp Ndunda Falls. It is located approximately 5 kilometers from Kibugu. You'll encounter a dirt road leading to the falls; ensure your vehicle can handle rough terrain. There is no entry fee, but it's advisable to carry some cash for any local purchases.
Public Transportation
To reach Camp Ndunda Falls using public transportation, first take a matatu (shared taxi) from Embu to Kibugu. The fare is approximately 100 KES. Upon arrival in Kibugu, you can either walk the remaining 5 kilometers to Camp Ndunda Falls or hire a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) for a fee of about 200-300 KES. Be sure to ask the boda boda rider to take you directly to the falls.
Walking
If you prefer to explore on foot after reaching Kibugu, you can walk to Camp Ndunda Falls. The walking distance is around 5 kilometers. Take the dirt road leading out of Kibugu; it is relatively straightforward but be prepared for some uneven terrain. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic beauty of the area, but ensure you wear appropriate footwear.
