If you're driving from the Tsavo National Park area, start by exiting Tsavo East National Park through the Bachuma Gate. From the gate, head southwest on the A104 highway towards Mtito Andei. Continue on the A104 for approximately 30 km until you reach Mtito Andei town. Here, you can stop for fuel or supplies if needed. After Mtito Andei, take the road signposted towards Chyulu Hills, which will lead you westward. Follow this road for about 40 km until you reach the entrance of Chyulu Hills National Park. Ensure your vehicle has sufficient fuel, as there are limited refueling options along this route.

To reach Chyulu Hills National Park using public transportation, first, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from any point in Tsavo National Park to Mtito Andei. These matatus frequently leave from the main road and the journey typically takes about 1-1.5 hours, costing around Ksh 200-300. Once in Mtito Andei, you will need to hire a private taxi or arrange for a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the entrance of Chyulu Hills National Park. The taxi ride will cost approximately Ksh 1500-2000 and take about 30-40 minutes.
