If arriving from the Luang Namtha Airport (LXG) or the long-distance bus station located outside of town, a tuk-tuk is a convenient option. Negotiate the fare before departing. A shared tuk-tuk from the airport to the town center should cost around 20,000 kip per person. From the long-distance bus station, expect to pay around 30,000 kip per person in a shared tuk-tuk.
