From the center of Pakse, head east on Route 13 for approximately 15 kilometers. After about 10 kilometers, turn right onto Route 16. Continue on Route 16 for another 5 kilometers until you reach the signs for Tad Syda. Look for the entrance marked with signs indicating the waterfall. You may need to pay a small entrance fee of around 10,000 LAK (about $1 USD) at the entrance.
Public Transportation (Songthaew)
Head to the main bus station in Pakse where you can catch a songthaew (shared taxi). Look for the songthaews heading towards the Tad Syda area. The ride will cost approximately 15,000 LAK (around $1.50 USD) per person. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to Tad Syda, and they will drop you at the entrance. Be prepared to walk a short distance if the vehicle cannot reach the exact spot due to road conditions.
Motorbike Rental
For those looking for more freedom, consider renting a motorbike in Pakse. Rental shops are prevalent in the city, and prices generally range from 70,000 to 150,000 LAK (approximately $7 to $15 USD) per day. From the city center, take Route 13 east for about 15 kilometers, then turn right onto Route 16. Follow the same path as when traveling by car, and make sure to park safely when you arrive at Tad Syda.
