Getting There

    From the center of Thakhek, head towards the Mekong River and take the road along the riverbank. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Thakhek market. From there, you can ask locals for the best route to Xiangliab. Most will point you to a local bus station or suggest taking a tuk-tuk to Xiangliab. The bus will take approximately 30 minutes.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    If you prefer a tuk-tuk, find one near the Thakhek market. Agree on a fare before you set off. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to Xiangliab. The journey should take around 30 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off near 'CWVX+GCJ' in Xiangliab, which is the closest drop-off point to Tham Nang Ene Cave.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Thakhek. Once you have your bike, head towards the main road leading out of Thakhek towards Xiangliab. Follow the main road for about 12 kilometers. Look for signs directing you towards the cave. The ride will take around 1 hour depending on your pace. Be cautious of traffic as you approach Xiangliab.

  • Local Transport (Songthaew)

    Find a songthaew (a shared taxi) at the local transport station in Thakhek. The songthaew will take you towards Xiangliab. Inform the driver of your destination, CWVX+GCJ, and they will drop you off nearby. The trip usually takes about 30-40 minutes.
