From the center of Thakhek, head west on Route 12 towards the Mekong River. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection of Route 12 and Route 13. Turn left onto Route 13 and follow it for approximately 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards the Sunset Viewpoint. After 2 kilometers, look for a small road on your right that leads towards the viewpoint. Follow this unnamed road for about 1 kilometer, and you will reach the Sunset Viewpoint.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many shops in Thakhek. Start your journey by heading west on Route 12 towards the Mekong River. Cycle for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection of Route 12 and Route 13. Turn left onto Route 13 and continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction of the Sunset Viewpoint. After 2 kilometers, take the small road on your right that leads to the viewpoint. This road will take you directly to the Sunset Viewpoint after about 1 kilometer.

Find a tuk-tuk in the center of Thakhek. Inform the driver that you want to go to Sunset Viewpoint. They will likely know the location, but you can give them the address: 9RV3+2FH, Unnamed Road, Thakhek. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off at the closest point to the viewpoint, and you may need to walk a short distance from there to reach the actual viewpoint.
