From the center of Thakhek, head west on Route 12 towards the Mekong River. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection of Route 12 and Route 13. Turn left onto Route 13 and follow it for approximately 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards the Sunset Viewpoint. After 2 kilometers, look for a small road on your right that leads towards the viewpoint. Follow this unnamed road for about 1 kilometer, and you will reach the Sunset Viewpoint.
