Start from the center of Thakhek, specifically at the Thakhek Market (ຕະຫຼາດທ່າແຂກ). Head southeast on Khammouane Road (ຖະໜົນຄຳມ່ວນ) for about 1 kilometer. Continue straight until you reach the intersection near the Mekong River. Turn left onto the road parallel to the river, and follow it for another 700 meters. You will see the entrance to Wat Phathat Si Khottabong on your right, marked by its distinctive golden stupa.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Thakhek. Start from the Thakhek Market (ຕະຫຼາດທ່າແຂກ) and cycle southeast on Khammouane Road (ຖະໜົນຄຳມ່ວນ) for about 1 kilometer. At the intersection near the Mekong River, take a left and follow the road along the river for approximately 700 meters. The entrance to Wat Phathat Si Khottabong will be on your right.
Tuk-tuk
Find a tuk-tuk at the Thakhek Market (ຕະຫຼາດທ່າແຂກ). Inform the driver that you want to go to Wat Phathat Si Khottabong. The driver will take you southeast on Khammouane Road (ຖະໜົນຄຳມ່ວນ) for about 1 kilometer. When you reach the intersection near the Mekong River, the driver will turn left and continue along the river for another 700 meters. You will arrive at the entrance to the temple on your right.
