If you are in the center of Daugavpils, a good starting point is the Daugavpils Central Market (Centrālais tirgus). Head east on Rīgas iela towards the intersection with Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela. Turn left onto Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela and continue to the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Zemgales iela. Walk straight for about 600 meters until the intersection with Komandanta iela. Turn right onto Komandanta iela, and continue walking for about 300 meters. The Museum of the World War I “Pie Komendanta” will be on your left at Komandanta iela 1. Walking is free.
