To reach the 9th Fort of the Kaunas Fortress from Nida Beach by car, start by heading north on the main road out of Nida until you reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Klaipeda (approximately a 20-minute ride). Once in Klaipeda, follow signs for the A1 highway towards Kaunas. Continue on the A1 for about 135 kilometers until you reach Kaunas. Take the exit for Kaunas center and follow the signs for the 9th Fort, which is located at Žemaičių pl. 75. There is parking available at the site, and please note that there may be a fee for parking.
