From Central Louisiana, take Interstate 49 South. Continue on I-49 S until you reach the junction with I-10 E. Merge onto I-10 E towards New Orleans. After approximately 2 hours of driving, take exit 234B for City Park Avenue. Continue on City Park Avenue until you reach Henry Thomas Drive. Turn left onto Henry Thomas Drive, and the Louisiana Children's Museum will be on your right. Parking is available nearby, and may incur a fee depending on the location.

If you're near Alexandria, you can take a Greyhound bus or Amtrak train to New Orleans. Once you arrive at the New Orleans Bus Station or Amtrak Station, you can take the RTA streetcar line. Board the streetcar on Canal Street heading towards City Park. Get off at the 'City Park' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Louisiana Children's Museum. Follow the signs to Henry Thomas Drive; the museum will be visible as you approach.
