Car
From any point in Haute Matsiatra, head towards the town of Ambalavao, which is approximately 56 km southeast of Fianarantsoa. Follow the RN7 road south. Once you reach Ambalavao, look for signs leading to the Anja Community Reserve. The reserve is located about 12 km from Ambalavao, just off the main road. Drive carefully as the roads can be narrow and winding. There is a small parking area at the reserve entrance.

Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
To reach Anja Community Reserve using public transportation, first take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Fianarantsoa to Ambalavao. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and costs around 5,000 to 8,000 Ariary per person. Upon arrival in Ambalavao, you can either walk to the reserve (about 12 km) or hire a local taxi to take you directly to the Anja Community Reserve entrance for about 10,000 to 15,000 Ariary.
