Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center, exit the center and head south towards the park's main road, Park Loop Road. Follow the pedestrian path that leads directly onto Park Loop Road. Continue along the road for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the Sieur de Monts Spring area, which is well-marked with signs along the way. The spring is located near the intersection of Park Loop Road and the section leading towards the Wild Gardens of Acadia.

  • Biking

    From the Bar Harbor Village Green, rent a bike and head towards the entrance of Acadia National Park. Once you enter the park, follow the carriage roads that lead to Park Loop Road. Staying on the carriage road, bike towards Sieur de Monts Spring, which is approximately 2 miles from the entrance. Look for signs directing you to the spring as you approach the area.

  • Hiking

    If you are near the Jordan Pond area, take the Jordan Pond Path that leads you towards the Park Loop Road. After about 1 mile of hiking, you will reach the intersection with Park Loop Road. Turn right and follow the road for about half a mile until you see the signs for Sieur de Monts Spring.
