    From the center of Kennebunkport, head south on Main Street towards Ocean Avenue. Continue on Ocean Avenue until you reach the intersection with Route 9. Take a left onto Route 9 and follow it for about 15 minutes until you reach the town of Kennebunk. Once in Kennebunk, look for the Kennebunk Village and follow the signs for Route 1 North towards Portland. After approximately 30 minutes, you will approach Portland. Once in Portland, continue to follow Route 1 North until you reach the intersection with Thames Street. Turn right onto Thames Street, and the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad will be on your left at 49 Thames St.

    From Kennebunkport, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 1 (Main Street). Take the 'Portland' bus operated by the Maine Public Transit system. The bus will take you directly to the downtown area of Portland. Once you arrive in downtown Portland, disembark at the bus terminal. From the bus terminal, head east on Congress Street and turn left onto Thames Street. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad at 49 Thames St.
