Once you reach the entrance to Acadia National Park, pay the entrance fee (approximately $30 for a vehicle, valid for 7 days). After entering the park, follow Park Loop Road and look for the signs leading to the Jordan Pond area. Park your vehicle at the Jordan Pond parking area.

    From the Jordan Pond parking area, look for the Sargent Mountain Trailhead. The trail begins near the Jordan Pond house. Follow the Sargent Mountain Trail, which is approximately 3.5 miles to the summit of Sargent Peak. The hike is moderately difficult, so wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water and snacks.
