If using public transportation from Bar Harbor, take the Island Explorer Bus (Route 1) towards Northeast Harbor. The bus will take you directly to Northeast Harbor. Once you arrive at the Northeast Harbor stop, walk 0.5 miles south on Main St, then turn left onto Thuya Dr. Thuya Garden will be on your left at 15 Thuya Dr. Note that the Island Explorer Bus operates seasonally, and check for any fares and schedules before your trip.

For those biking from Bar Harbor, follow the bike-friendly route along ME-3 S for about 7 miles. This route offers beautiful views along the way. After arriving in Northeast Harbor, turn left onto Main St and continue for about 1 mile. Take a left onto Thuya Dr, and Thuya Garden will be on your left at 15 Thuya Dr. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules. There are places to lock your bike at the garden entrance.
