    If you are driving from Mulanje Mountain, head northwest on the M1 highway. Continue on the M1 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the A3 road towards Blantyre. After about 5 kilometers, you will see signs for the Chongoni Rock Art Area. Turn left onto a small dirt road that leads to the site. Be cautious as the road can be rough; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. There is a small parking area upon arrival.

    From Mulanje Mountain, take a minibus heading towards Blantyre from the main bus station. The fare is approximately MWK 1,500. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turnoff for the Chongoni Rock Art Area, which is about 25 kilometers from Mulanje Mountain. Once you get off, you will need to walk about 1.5 kilometers along the dirt road leading to the rock art area. Alternatively, you can hire a local taxi from the turnoff to take you directly to the site for an additional MWK 1,000 to MWK 2,000.
