If you're traveling by car from Thyolo, take the M1 road heading towards Mulanje. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the town of Mulanje. From Mulanje, follow the signs towards the Likhubula area. You will need to drive on the Likhubula Road, which is a dirt road that can be a bit bumpy; ensure your vehicle is suitable for such conditions. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the parking area near the falls. Parking might be free, but it's advisable to check for any local fees or guides that may be available.

Public Transportation
To reach Likhubula Falls using public transportation, start by taking a minibus from Thyolo to Mulanje, which typically costs around MK 1,500 (Malawian Kwacha). The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once in Mulanje, board another minibus or taxi heading toward Likhubula. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will take you to Likhubula Falls, as not all vehicles might go directly there. The fare for the final leg should be around MK 500 to MK 1,000. After arriving at the nearest drop-off point, you may need to walk for about 1 km to reach the falls.
