Car
If you're driving from the center of Thyolo Highlands, head towards the town of Zomba. Follow the M1 road north for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach Zomba, look for a sign indicating Williams Falls on your right. Turn onto the M842 road, which will lead you to the falls. After about 5 kilometers on M842, you will see a small parking area and a path leading to Williams Falls. Ensure to pay attention to local road signs and traffic rules.
Public Transportation
To reach Williams Falls via public transport, start by taking a minibus from Thyolo Highlands to Zomba. It is advisable to ask the driver to drop you off at the Zomba bus station. Once in Zomba, look for another minibus heading towards Machinga or the M842 area. These minibuses usually leave from the same bus station. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Williams Falls. Upon arrival at the M842 junction, you may need to walk approximately 5 kilometers to the falls. Alternatively, you might hire a local taxi from Zomba for a more direct route, which may cost around 5000 MWK.
