Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the vicinity of the Malacca Jonker Walk area, start by heading south on Jalan Hang Jebat towards Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Jalan Kota. Turn left onto Jalan Kota and walk approximately 600 meters. Muzium Rakyat will be on your right at the address Jln Kota, Banda Hilir.

    From A Famosa Fort, head east on Jalan Kota for about 300 meters. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of Muzium Rakyat on your left. This route is straightforward and offers a great view of the historical surroundings.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    If you are near the Malacca Sentral Bus Terminal, take the local bus (Bus No. 17 or similar) heading towards Banda Hilir. The bus will stop near the Stadthuys area. From there, it is a short walk of about 500 meters. Head southwest on Jalan Merdeka, turn right onto Jalan Kota, and continue until you see Muzium Rakyat on your left.
