Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Marsaskala waterfront near the main promenade. Walk towards the southeast along the coast until you reach the junction at the end of the promenade. Turn right onto Triq il-Knisja and continue walking straight. Keep walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the roundabout at the end of the street. From there, you can take the bus to Birgu or continue walking straight ahead, following the signs. If you choose to walk, continue on Triq il-Knisja, which will lead you towards Birgu. You'll pass through a residential area and may see local shops and cafes along the way. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive in Birgu. The Church of St Anne is located on Santa Skolastika Street; look for a small square where the church is situated.

    From the Marsaskala bus terminal, take the bus route 81 or 82 towards Valletta. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the bus stop named 'Birgu.' Once you exit the bus, turn left and walk a short distance along Triq il-Knisja. You will soon reach the Church of St Anne located on Santa Skolastika Street. The church is easy to spot due to its distinctive architecture.
