From downtown Bethesda, walk to the Bethesda Metro Station located at 7400 Waverly St, Bethesda, MD 20814. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. After approximately 18 minutes, get off at the Silver Spring station. Transfer to the Ride On bus #5 towards the Air and Space Museum. The bus journey will take around 25 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to 14390 Air and Space Museum Pkwy, Chantilly, VA 20151. From there, it's a short walk to the Airbus IMAX Theater.

From downtown Bethesda, walk to the bus stop at Wisconsin Ave & Elm St. Take the Ride On bus #34 towards the Glenmont Metro Station. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop near the Air and Space Museum. Walk approximately 5 minutes to reach the Airbus IMAX Theater at 14390 Air and Space Museum Pkwy, Chantilly, VA 20151.

Walking and Biking
If you're feeling adventurous and the weather is nice, consider biking or walking. Start from downtown Bethesda and head north on Wisconsin Ave towards the Capital Crescent Trail. Follow the trail which eventually connects to the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail. This will take you through scenic areas and connect you closer to Chantilly. The total distance is about 18 miles, so make sure to set aside sufficient time for this journey.
