    From Bethesda, head to the Bethesda Metro Station located at 7400 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Stay on the train for 10 stops, approximately 25 minutes, until you reach the National Gallery of Art station. Once you exit the train, follow the signs for the National Gallery of Art, then exit the station. Walk south on 7th St NW towards the National Mall for about 0.5 miles. Continue walking until you reach the U.S. Botanic Garden at 245 First St SW, which is directly across from the National Air and Space Museum.

  • Bus

    From the Bethesda area, you can take the Ride On Bus Route 34 from the Bethesda Transit Center. Board the bus heading towards the Silver Spring Metro Station. After approximately 15 minutes and 8 stops, get off at the 'Rockville Pike & East West Highway' stop. Transfer to the WMATA Metrobus D6, heading towards the 'L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station'. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, getting off at 'Independence Ave SW & 3rd St SW'. From there, walk towards the U.S. Botanic Garden located at 245 First St SW, which is a short 5-minute walk.
