    From Bethesda, head to the Bethesda Metro Station, which is located at 7400 Wisconsin Ave. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Ride for 5 stops and get off at the Smithsonian station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the National Mall. The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum will be on your left at 600 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20560.

  • Bus

    From Bethesda, go to the nearest bus stop and take the Ride On Bus Route 34 towards Silver Spring. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Silver Spring Metro Station.' Transfer to the Metro from Silver Spring and take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Get off at the Smithsonian station. Exit the station and proceed towards the National Mall; the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum will be located at 600 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20560.
