  • Public Transit

    From Gaithersburg, head to the Gaithersburg Metro Station located at 100 S. Frederick Ave. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Dupont Circle Metro Station. Once you exit the station, head northwest on 19th St NW towards Q St NW. Continue on Q St NW and then turn left onto 16th St NW. The Mexican Cultural Institute will be on your left at 2829 16th St NW. The total journey should take about 50 minutes.

    From Gaithersburg, walk to the nearest bus stop on 1st St & East Diamond Ave. Take the Ride On Bus Route 55 towards Bethesda. After about 25 minutes, get off at the Rockville Metro Station. From there, take the Red Line train towards Glenmont and get off at the Dupont Circle Metro Station. Exit the station and walk northwest on 19th St NW towards Q St NW. Turn left onto 16th St NW, and the Mexican Cultural Institute will be on your left at 2829 16th St NW. The total journey may take around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    If you prefer to walk, start from the Gaithersburg Center located at 31 S Summit Ave. Head south on Summit Ave towards E Diamond Ave. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with N Frederick Ave, and turn left. Walk towards the Gaithersburg Metro Station (about 15 minutes). From the Metro Station, you will need to take the Red Line Metro train as described in the Public Transit option. Note that walking to the Mexican Cultural Institute directly from Gaithersburg will take several hours, so public transport is recommended.
