If you are driving from any location within Gunpowder Falls State Park, head southwest on the main park roads until you reach the nearest highway entrance. Follow the signs to I-95 South. Continue on I-95 South for approximately 12 miles. Take the exit for I-695 West towards Catonsville. Merge onto I-695 and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 12 for US-1 South toward Baltimore. Continue on US-1 South for about 2 miles, then turn right onto South Street. Follow South Street, and you will arrive at the Patapsco Valley State Park - Avalon Area, located at 5120 South St, Halethorpe, MD 21227.
