From the main entrance of Patapsco Valley State Park on Baltimore National Pike (US-40), head south on River Rd. Follow River Rd for about 1.5 miles. You will see signs for the Orange Grove area. Turn left into the Orange Grove parking area. There is no cost to park in this area. After parking, walk towards the river and follow the signs for the Swinging Bridge, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the parking area.

Take the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Bus 99 from Baltimore to Elkridge. Get off at the stop near River Rd and Patapsco Valley State Park. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to the Orange Grove area. Head south on River Rd, and look for signs directing you to the Orange Grove parking area. There is typically no fare for short local trips, but check the MTA website for current pricing.

If you're already within the Patapsco Valley State Park and near the Orange Grove area, simply follow the hiking trails that lead south towards the river.
