Transfer to the Yellow Line towards Mount Vernon Square. Get off at the Smithsonian Metro Station. From there, walk west on Independence Ave SW, then north on 21st St NW until you reach 701 21st St NW, Washington, DC.

From Laurel, walk to the Laurel Train Station. Take the MARC Train (Penn Line) towards Washington, D.C. Get off at the Union Station. From Union Station, walk towards the Red Line Metro Station and take the Metro to Farragut North. Then take the Red Line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Transfer to the Yellow Line towards Mount Vernon Square and get off at the Smithsonian Metro Station. Walk west on Independence Ave SW, then north on 21st St NW to reach 701 21st St NW.

If you’re near the Laurel Town Center, head southeast towards Laurel Avenue. Continue onto Main Street and follow it until you reach the Laurel MARC Train Station. From there, you can catch a bus or train as described above. If you prefer to walk, it’s quite a distance and not recommended unless you are prepared for a long trek.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride to the nearest Metro station. Start by heading south on Main Street, then take the bike lanes towards Route 1. Follow Route 1 to the Metro station of your choice. Once there, you can park your bike and take public transport as described earlier.
