Walking
From the center of Beacon Hill, head south on Charles Street. Walk straight for about 0.3 miles (approximately 6 minutes). You will pass by the Massachusetts State House on your left. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Tremont Street. Boston Common will be directly ahead of you at 139 Tremont St.
Public Transportation - MBTA
From Beacon Hill, walk to the nearest subway station, Park Street Station, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head south on Charles Street, turn right onto Beacon Street, and then left onto Tremont Street. Once at Park Street Station, take the Green Line or Red Line subway (both lines stop there) one stop to the next station, which is Government Center. After exiting the subway, walk back towards Tremont Street, and you will see Boston Common directly ahead.
