Car
If you're driving from Gloucester, take Route 128 S towards Salem. Continue on Route 128 S and take Exit 25B toward the North Shore. Merge onto Route 1A N, then take a right onto Derby St. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you'll see the Salem Maritime National Historic Site on your right at 160 Derby St.

From Rockport, drive south on Route 127. Continue onto Route 127A until you reach the intersection with Route 128. Merge onto Route 128 S and follow the directions from Gloucester above.

Public Transportation
To reach the Salem Maritime National Historic Site via public transportation, take the MBTA commuter rail from Gloucester to Salem. Board the train at the Gloucester station and disembark at the Salem station. From there, walk south on Washington St, then turn left onto Derby St. The historic site will be about a 10-minute walk down Derby St on your left.
