From the New Bedford Whaling Museum at 18 Johnny Cake Hill, head northeast on Johnny Cake Hill toward Union St. Turn right onto Union St and continue for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Acushnet Ave. Turn left onto Acushnet Ave and walk for approximately 0.5 miles. When you reach the intersection with Route 195, take the bus at the nearby bus stop heading toward Providence. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop near 75 N Main St in Providence.

From downtown New Bedford, find the nearest bus stop for the Peter Pan Bus Lines located on Purchase Street. Board the bus heading to Providence. The journey should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Providence, disembark at the terminal and walk north on N Main St for about 5 minutes until you reach 75 N Main St, the location of the First Baptist Church in America.

If you prefer to bike, start at the New Bedford Harbor and take the bike path along the waterfront heading north. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with Route 195.
