Car
If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto MA-3 S from your current location in Plymouth County. Follow MA-3 S for about 15 miles. Then take exit 20A to merge onto I-93 N toward New Hampshire. Continue on I-93 N for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 35 for MA-1 N toward Lynn. Merge onto MA-1 N and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 44 toward Saugus. Merge onto Central St, and you will arrive at Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site located at 244 Central St, Saugus, MA 01906. There is no admission fee to enter the site, but parking may have a fee depending on the season.

Public Transportation
If you are taking public transportation, start by getting to the nearest commuter rail station in Plymouth County, such as the Kingston MBTA station. Board the MBTA Commuter Rail on the Kingston Line toward Boston. Get off at the Malden Center station. From Malden Center, transfer to the MBTA Orange Line subway toward Oak Grove. Get off at the Haymarket station, then transfer to the 429 bus heading toward Saugus. The bus will take you directly to Central St. Walk a short distance to 244 Central St, Saugus, MA 01906. Be sure to check the MBTA website for the latest schedules and any fare requirements.
