    To get to Downtown Boston from Quincy, start by finding the Quincy Center Station. You can walk to this station from most parts of Quincy. Once you arrive at Quincy Center Station, purchase a ticket for the Red Line train heading towards Alewife. Board the train and stay on it for about 5 stops. You will disembark at the Government Center Station. From Government Center, you can either walk to Downtown (about a 5-10 minute walk) or take the Green Line 'C' or 'D' train towards Kenmore. If you choose to walk, head east on Tremont Street, and you will reach Downtown Boston.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take the bus, you can catch the 220 bus from several locations in Quincy. Look for the bus stops near your location and check the schedule. The 220 bus will take you to the Braintree Station. From Braintree, transfer to the Red Line train towards Ashmont and ride it for 2 stops until you reach Downtown Crossing Station. Once you exit, you are in the heart of Downtown Boston.

    While walking from Quincy to Downtown Boston is quite a long trek (approximately 10 miles), it is possible if you're up for a hike. Start by heading to Quincy Shore Drive and follow the coastline north. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the Fore River Bridge.
