Getting There

• Walking

  To reach Downtown Boston from any central location in Lawrence, start by walking to the nearest bus stop. Take the Lawrence Transit bus #11 heading towards the Lawrence Bus Station. Once at the station, transfer to the bus that goes directly to Boston, which is typically the #17 bus. After a comfortable ride, you will arrive at South Station in Boston. From South Station, exit the terminal and walk north on Atlantic Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Summer Street. Turn right onto Summer Street and proceed until you reach Downtown Boston.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Lawrence. Start your journey by biking towards the Lawrence Bus Station where you can catch a bus to Boston. Once you arrive in Boston, you can use the bike lanes to navigate to Downtown. Head towards the waterfront and make your way to the historic areas of Downtown Boston, enjoying the sights along the way.

• Public Transit

  Find the nearest Lawrence Transit bus stop and take the bus that goes to the Lawrence Bus Station. Upon arrival at the bus station, board a Greyhound or Megabus heading to Boston. Once you arrive at Boston's South Station, you can either walk or take the subway (the Red Line) to Park Street Station, which is in the heart of Downtown. From Park Street, you can easily explore the Downtown area on foot.
