Car
If you're driving from anywhere in The Islands, start by heading towards the main road, which connects to the mainland. Use Route 6 to cross over to Cape Cod and then follow signs for Route 495 North. Once on Route 495, take the exit for Route 95 North. After approximately 15 miles, take exit 26 for Dedham. Follow East Street for about 1 mile, and Fairbanks House will be on your right at 511 East St, Dedham, MA 02026. Parking is available on-site.

Begin your journey by taking a ferry or shuttle service from the Islands to the mainland (check local schedules for timings). Once you arrive at the mainland, head to the nearest bus terminal (such as in Hyannis). From there, take a bus to Boston's South Station. From South Station, transfer to the MBTA's Commuter Rail (Franklin Line) towards Franklin. Get off at the Dedham Corp Center station. From Dedham Corp Center, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 miles) or take a local taxi to Fairbanks House located at 511 East St, Dedham, MA 02026. Be aware that bus and train fares will apply.
