    If you're starting from downtown Waltham, head to the Waltham MBTA Commuter Rail Station. Take the Fitchburg Line train towards North Station. Get off at the Alewife Station. From Alewife, transfer to the Alewife bus (route 67) towards Alewife Station (Cambridge). Get off at the stop at Alewife and take the 47 bus towards Alewife Station. Get off at the stop at Fresh Pond Parkway, then walk towards the Brattle Street. The Longfellow House will be on your left at 105 Brattle Street.

    If you're near Waltham Common, head east towards Main Street. Walk along Main Street until you reach the intersection with Waverley Oaks Road. Turn left on Waverley Oaks Road and continue until you reach the Waltham MBTA Commuter Rail Station. From there, take the Fitchburg Line train towards North Station. Disembark at Alewife Station, then follow the public transit directions above to reach the Longfellow House.
