Bus
From Waltham, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the MBTA #553 bus towards Alewife Station. Ride the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach Alewife Station. Once there, transfer to the Alewife subway station on the Red Line. Board a train heading towards Ashmont/Braintree. Stay on the train for approximately 25 minutes and get off at Park Street Station. Finally, transfer to the Green Line and take the train towards Government Center, getting off at the Science Park stop. The Museum of Science will be a short walk from there.
Train
Walk to the Waltham MBTA Commuter Rail Station. Take the Fitchburg Line train towards North Station. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive at North Station, exit the train and follow the signs to the Green Line subway. Board the Green Line train towards Government Center and get off at the Science Park station. The Museum of Science is a short walk from the station.
Walking
If you are near the Waltham Common, start walking towards Main Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Moody Street. Turn right onto Moody Street and walk until you reach the Waltham Commuter Rail Station. From there, follow the Train instructions to get to the Museum of Science.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, head towards the Charles River Greenway. Follow the path along the river towards Boston. After about 5 miles, you will reach the Museum of Science area. There are bike racks available near the entrance. Make sure to follow local bike paths and safety regulations during your ride.
