From Waltham's city center, head north on Main Street towards Moody Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lexington Street. Turn right onto Lexington Street and walk until you reach the Waltham train station. At the station, take the MBTA Commuter Rail train on the Fitchburg Line towards North Station in Boston. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Salem station. Once you arrive at Salem, exit the station and head west on Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach Hawthorne Boulevard, then turn right. Follow Hawthorne Boulevard until you reach Winter Island Road. Turn left onto Winter Island Road and walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach Winter Island Park at 50 Winter Island Rd.

From the Waltham city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Take the MBTA Bus Route 67 towards Alewife Station. Ride the bus for about 25 minutes and get off at the Salem Depot stop. From Salem Depot, walk west on Washington Street until you reach Hawthorne Boulevard. Turn right onto Hawthorne Boulevard and continue walking until you reach Winter Island Road. Turn left onto Winter Island Road and walk for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at Winter Island Park located at 50 Winter Island Rd.
