If you're traveling by car, start by taking the Mexico-Pachuca Highway (Mexico 85D) from any city in Eastern Mexico. Follow the signs towards San Juan Teotihuacán. The journey from Mexico City typically takes about 1 hour, while from Puebla it can take up to 2 hours. Once you reach San Juan Teotihuacán, look for signs directing you to the archaeological site. There is a parking area available near the entrance, which costs approximately 50 pesos. After parking, you will need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the Pyramid of the Sun.

Public Transportation - Bus
For those using public transport, head to the Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Pasajeros de Observatorio in Mexico City. From there, take a bus to Teotihuacán. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and costs around 70 pesos. The buses are frequent, leaving approximately every 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Teotihuacán bus station, the Pyramid of the Sun is about a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs to the entrance of the archaeological site.

Public Transportation - Metro and Bus
An alternative public transport option is to take the Metro. From Mexico City, take Line 5 (Yellow) to Pantitlan, then transfer to Line 1 (Pink) to Balderas. From Balderas, take the Metrobus Line 7 (Orange) to the Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Pasajeros de Observatorio. From there, take a bus to Teotihuacán. The total travel time may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, with a total cost of around 50 pesos for the Metro and 70 pesos for the bus.
