If you are in central Zihuatanejo, head towards the waterfront area. From the main square (Plaza de Zihuatanejo), walk towards the beach (Playa Principal) and follow the coastal path. This will lead you towards the marina and then towards Ixtapa Zihua beach. The walk will take approximately 25-30 minutes depending on your pace.

For a quicker option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in Zihuatanejo. After renting, head towards the waterfront and follow the same coastal route towards Ixtapa Zihua beach. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Prices for bicycle rentals typically range from 100 to 200 MXN per hour.

If you prefer not to walk or cycle, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Zihuatanejo. Simply find a taxi stand or hail one from the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Ixtapa Zihua beach (M95W+V6, 40880 Ixtapa Zihuatanejo). The ride should take around 10-15 minutes and will cost approximately 100-150 MXN, depending on your starting location.

Public Transportation (Collectivo)
Another economical option is to take a collectivo (shared van). Head to the collectivo stand located near the main market in Zihuatanejo. Look for a van heading to Ixtapa. Once you board, inform the driver you want to be dropped off at the closest point to Ixtapa Zihua beach. The fare is usually around 30-50 MXN per person. The journey will take about 20 minutes.
