Collectivo
From anywhere in Playa del Carmen, walk to the nearest collectivo stop, which is commonly found along Avenida 10 between Calle 1 and Calle 2. Look for a collectivo headed towards Tulum. The fare is typically around 30 pesos. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to get off at Cenote Chac Mool. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes. You will need to keep an eye out for the cenote sign on the right side of the road, as the driver may not stop unless prompted. After getting off, walk approximately 10 minutes along the dirt path to reach the cenote entrance.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Playa del Carmen. Once you have your bike, head south on Avenida 10. Continue cycling until you reach the intersection with Highway 307. Use the bike lane to safely cross the highway, and then follow the signs towards Tulum. After about 4 kilometers, look for the sign for Cenote Chac Mool on the right side of the road. The cenote is about 500 meters down a dirt path from the main road.

If you are feeling adventurous and are staying close to the cenote, you can walk. Head south on Avenida 10 until you reach the intersection with Highway 307. Note that this is a long walk, approximately 5 kilometers from the center of Playa del Carmen. Once at Highway 307, walk along the road until you see the sign for Cenote Chac Mool on the right. After that, follow the dirt path to the entrance.
