Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the heart of Downtown Playa del Carmen, you can easily walk to Marco Playa del Carmen. Start at the famous Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue), which is a pedestrian street filled with shops and restaurants. Head south on Quinta Avenida until you reach Calle 14. Turn right on Calle 14 and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Avenida 1. Turn left onto Avenida 1, which will take you closer to the beach. Continue straight until you hit the coastline and then turn left. Marco Playa del Carmen is located along the beachfront at Zona Federal Marítima. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 kilometers and should take around 20-25 minutes.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the numerous rental shops along Quinta Avenida. Once you have your bike, head south on Quinta Avenida. When you reach Calle 14, turn right and continue to Avenida 1. Turn left on Avenida 1 and head towards the beach. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the coastline. Turn left along the beachfront, and you will find Marco Playa del Carmen. The biking distance is roughly the same as walking, about 1.5 kilometers, but you can reach your destination faster, in around 10-15 minutes.

• Local Taxi

  If you prefer not to walk or bike, you can take a local taxi to Marco Playa del Carmen. Taxis are readily available throughout Downtown Playa del Carmen. Simply flag one down or find a taxi stand. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to 'Marco Playa del Carmen on Zona Federal Marítima.' The fare should be around 60-80 MXN (approximately $3-4 USD), depending on your starting point. The taxi ride will take about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic.
