Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Start your journey at the Tijuana Airport (Abelardo L. Rodríguez International Airport). From the airport, take a taxi or an Uber to the Tijuana Central Bus Station (Central de Autobuses). The ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus heading towards San Diego, California. Make sure to inform the driver you want to get off at the border area. Upon reaching the San Ysidro border crossing, you will need to walk across the border into the U.S. After crossing, continue walking to the San Diego Trolley station. Take the Orange Line towards the 12th & Imperial station. At 12th & Imperial, transfer to the Blue Line towards the U.S.-Mexico border. Get off at the 'Civic Center' station. From Civic Center, you can either take a taxi or use a rideshare app to get to La Jolla Canyon, which is located about 20 minutes away. Alternatively, you can take a local bus (Route 30) from downtown San Diego towards La Jolla.

    If you are already in downtown Tijuana, walk to the San Ysidro border crossing. It’s about a 30-40 minute walk. After crossing into San Diego, head towards the San Diego Trolley station. Board the Trolley at the San Ysidro station and ride it to the 'Civic Center' station. From here, you can either take a taxi or a rideshare app to La Jolla Canyon.
