Getting There

• Public Transportation

  From downtown Tijuana, head to the Tijuana bus terminal, known as 'Central de Autobuses'. You can take a taxi or walk to the terminal, which is about a 15-minute walk from the tourist zone. Once at the bus terminal, look for buses heading to San Diego. You will need to buy a ticket to cross the border. The bus ride can take about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on border wait times. After crossing the border, get off at the first stop in San Diego. You should be near the Santa Fe Depot. From there, walk towards the waterfront, heading southwest for about 10 minutes until you reach Tuna Ln, where the Unconditional Surrender sculpture is located. It’s a great spot for photos, especially early in the morning.

• Walking

  If you are near the Tijuana Arch (Arco de Tijuana), start by walking towards Avenida Revolución. Head north and take a left onto Paseo de los Heroes. Continue walking until you reach the border crossing. Walk through the pedestrian crossing into the United States. Once you’re in San Diego, follow the signs to the Santa Fe Depot. From there, walk towards the waterfront, heading southwest for about 10 minutes. You will arrive at Tuna Ln, where the Unconditional Surrender sculpture is located.

• Taxi

  If you prefer to take a taxi, you can request one from your hotel or find one in the tourist area. Ask the driver to take you to the San Ysidro border crossing. Upon crossing into the United States, you may need to switch taxis to continue to your final destination. Once you’re in San Diego, tell the driver to take you to Tuna Ln, where the Unconditional Surrender sculpture is located. The total travel time can vary, but it should take around 1-1.5 hours, including border crossing time.
