If you're starting from the Detroit city center, head to the nearest bus stop at Woodward Ave & Congress St. Take the QLINE streetcar heading towards the North End. Get off at the Grand Circus Park stop. From there, transfer to the DDOT bus #53 (Woodward) at the same stop. Ride for about 10-15 minutes and get off at the Grand River Ave stop. Walk west for a few minutes until you reach 1942 Grand River Ave, where the Grand Army of the Republic Building is located.

If you are near the Detroit Riverwalk, head north towards Jefferson Ave. Walk along Jefferson Ave until you reach the intersection with Woodward Ave. Turn left onto Woodward Ave and continue walking until you reach the Grand Circus Park area. From there, head west on Grand Circus Park until you reach Grand River Ave. Turn left on Grand River Ave, and you will find the Grand Army of the Republic Building at 1942 Grand River Ave after a short walk.

If you prefer biking, start from the Detroit Riverwalk and head north towards the Dequindre Cut Greenway. Follow the path until you reach Mack Ave. Turn right and continue biking until you reach Woodward Ave. Turn left on Woodward Ave and bike towards Grand Circus Park. When you reach the park, turn left on Grand River Ave. The Grand Army of the Republic Building will be on your left at 1942 Grand River Ave.
