From New Center, locate the nearest bus stop. You can catch the SMART Bus Route 450, which heads towards Downtown Detroit. Board the bus and pay the fare, which is usually around $2.50. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop at Michigan Avenue and Washington Boulevard. From there, it's a short walk to the Point of Origin Marker, which is just a block away.

Head to the nearest QLINE station, which is located on Woodward Avenue. Purchase a ticket from the vending machine (the cost is $1.50). Board the QLINE tram heading south. Ride the tram for about 15 minutes. Disembark at the Grand Circus Park stop. From there, walk west on Michigan Avenue for a couple of blocks until you reach the Point of Origin Marker, located at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Washington Boulevard.
