Getting There

  • Public Transit - Bus

    If you're starting from the Lansing City Market, walk to the nearest bus stop on the corner of E. Grand River Ave. and S. Washington Square. Catch the CATA bus route #1 towards the 'Lansing Center'. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Capitol Ave. at Allegan St.' From there, walk north on Capitol Ave for about two blocks. The Michigan State Capitol will be on your left at 100 N Capitol Ave.

    If you're near the Michigan State University campus, head west on E. Shaw Ln towards N. Harrison Rd. Continue onto E. Grand River Ave and walk straight for about 1.5 miles. You'll pass through the downtown area. Once you reach the intersection with S. Capitol Ave, turn left. The Michigan State Capitol will be a couple of blocks ahead on your right at 100 N Capitol Ave.
