Walking
Start from the main street of Mackinac Island, known as Market Street. Head north towards the Grand Hotel. As you pass the Grand Hotel, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Cadotte Avenue. At the intersection, turn left onto Cadotte Avenue. Follow Cadotte Avenue until it merges into Fort Holmes Road. Continue on Fort Holmes Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach Point Lookout. There will be signs along the way directing you to Point Lookout, and you will enjoy scenic views of the island along this route.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start at the center of Mackinac Island near the ferry docks. Head east on Main Street, and then take a left onto Cadotte Avenue. Continue biking straight until you reach Fort Holmes Road. Once on Fort Holmes Road, follow the road for approximately 0.5 miles. Point Lookout will be on your right, marked by signs, and you can park your bicycle in designated areas nearby.
Horse-drawn carriage
At the main carriage tour station near the ferry docks, look for a carriage that is heading towards Fort Holmes. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Point Lookout. The carriage will take you along the scenic routes of the island. Enjoy the ride, and the driver will drop you off near Point Lookout, which is a short walk from the carriage drop-off point. Make sure to ask the driver for the exact drop-off location if needed.
