Walking
If you are in the downtown area of Mount Pleasant, start by heading south on Main Street. Walk until you reach the intersection with Broadway Street. Turn left on Broadway Street and continue walking until you reach the bus stop at the intersection with the bus line heading towards the nearest city bus terminal. From there, take the bus that connects to Charleston, SC. Once you arrive in Charleston, follow the public transportation signs to find the bus that goes to Ashley River Road. Get off at the stop closest to 3380 Ashley River Rd. From there, Drayton Hall is a short walk; just follow the signs to the museum.

To reach Drayton Hall by bicycle, start at the Mount Pleasant Town Center. Head south on the bike path along Market Center Blvd, which will connect you to S. Shelmore Blvd. Continue on S. Shelmore Blvd until you reach the intersection with Hwy 17. There is a bike lane on Hwy 17 that will take you towards Charleston. Follow the signs for Ashley River Road.
